Chirag Bhandari caught accepting Rs 30,000 bribe
JAIPUR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught the owner of Bhandari Hospital who is also the director of Advait Vedanta Institute of Technology, Jaipur for accepting Rs 30,000 bribe in lieu of giving nod to a student’s scholarship. He was allegedly taking 50% from the scholarships that he gave his students. According to ACB officials, the accused identified as Chirag Bhandari is owner of Bhandari Hospital and also director of the private institute. “Two complainants approached us stating that the accused had demanded a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh from at least 12 students in lieu of of facilitating scholarship. Based on the complaint we initiated technical surveillance and a trap was laid under which the accused was caught red-handed for accepting Rs 30,000,” said ACB officials.
